When the servers of Once Human went dark at 4:00 PM PT on March 25, 2026, players across Nalcott checked their storage and queued up their downloads. The patch was largest on PC launchers at about 15.34 GB, while the PC client needed only 209 MB. Android players faced a 276 MB download, and iOS users saw 336 MB. Wi-Fi was the recommended path. Once maintenance ended, all Metas received Starchrom ×1,000, Mitsuko's Mark ×100, Starwish Token ×300, and Colorful Badge ×30. The update introduced Brave George, the Sea Rabbit, the Morphic Tree, a reworked Territory Terminal, and a long list of adjustments.
A Living Shield Steps Forward
Brave George did not simply join the roster. He arrived as a Combat Deviation built around surviving lethal pressure. In the Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve scenario, his role focuses on balanced attack and defense. His battle skill enters a charge-up state and then unleashes a shockwave that deals Physical DMG to nearby enemies. Taking damage during the charge strengthens that shockwave. His ultimate channels power into an enlarged sword and shield, then performs a spinning sweep that strikes and stuns all enemies in range.

In other scenarios, Brave George becomes a supreme defender. His battle skill absorbs incoming damage and later deals that absorbed damage back to nearby targets. His ultimate creates a large protective domain. Metas inside gain increased shield capacity and a large amount of shield. To find him, explorers can search the wilderness in Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve, or defeat the Forsaken Giant in other scenarios.

The Dark Hunt Turns Silence Into Survival
Some phases feel different. In the Dark Hunt, darkness falls and the Devourer cannot see. Its hearing becomes its deadliest tool. Any sound can trigger a rapid burrow and a lethal strike. Players have 60 seconds to survive. Gunshots and throwables can lure the Devourer toward Pale Hands, Deviants carrying large gas canisters. If the Devourer swallows one, the explosion forces it into a weakened state and ends the Dark Hunt immediately.

New Terrors in Nalcott's Ecology
Deep beneath the waves, something new stirred. The Sea Rabbit may look slow-witted, but it poses a grave threat. It inhabits deep-sea regions and reacts aggressively when disturbed. It latches onto a Meta's head and bites, injecting a neurotoxin. Affected Metas enter a confused state with reversed movement controls. Pressing forward makes them move backward. Heat is the best counter. Fire and high-temperature weapons drive it away, and reaching dry shore can make it detach.

On land, the Morphic Tree mastered disguise. It hides among ordinary trees and inflicts hallucinations on unsuspecting Metas. Chopping trees inside its grove is dangerous, but it is also the way out. In the hallucinations, felled trees appear as humanoids facing a direction. Following those directions can reveal the Morphic Tree itself. Every chop worsens the hallucinations, and chopping too many without finding it can trap a Meta forever as part of the grove. Defeating it causes the grove to perish and yields large amounts of wood and special rewards.

Blueprints Become Simpler
Beyond creatures, the update redrew the rules of progression. Blueprints can now be activated directly from the Blueprint screen using Starchrom. No more fragment drawing and combining. Weapon and armor blueprints unlock directly, and upgrades happen on the same screen. Wilderness rewards that once gave blueprint fragments now give Starchrom directly. The Blueprint Shop is gone. Stellar Stairway and Asterism were removed, with their rewards converted to Starchrom and Starchrom Crates. The monthly Starchrom cap remains unchanged.
A conversion system softened the transition. Blueprint Fragments became Starchrom based on the formula Fragment Exp × 1.85. Asterism changed into Starchrom, and Wish Stones became Mitsuko's Marks.
The Wish Machine is changing too. It was temporarily disabled after the March 25 update. On April 22, 2026, it will return as an activity reward system that does not consume Starchrom. Daily gameplay and activity tasks will grant draw chances for supplies and cosmetics. Because of the change, the Lucky Streak task in the Exploration Guide now asks players to craft armor instead.
Freedom From Weapon Restrictions
The old Super Anomaly types such as Coherence, Void, Phase, and Balance often forced a specific build. That restriction is gone. A new general resistance mechanic replaced them. Any weapon type can work when used correctly. Cradle Override nodes tied to Super Anomaly enemies were removed, and affected dungeons no longer carry weapon restriction affixes. This opens more room for personal tactics and coordination.
Territory and Quality-of-Life Upgrades
The Territory Terminal received a clearer interface and smarter repair options. Players can repair all structures or only selected categories, avoiding wasted resources. The Max Repairable Parts option automatically repairs as much as possible with available materials. Territory reinforcement now lasts up to 72 hours, and an overflow protection system prevents wasting excess reinforcement materials. In RaidZone, batch upgrades allow players to convert all wood walls to stone walls directly from the terminal.
Hive and Team functions were merged. Going offline no longer automatically removes a player from the team. Some combat fairness rules changed too: house blueprints cannot be used for quick placement while a territory is in combat, and dealing damage to your own buildings no longer triggers combat status. Doors and windows in RaidZone open more responsively.
Weapon balance shifted. The FP-9 and a similar weapon received increased per-hit damage and faster reload speed. The EBR-14 had its per-hit damage reduced but its reload speed enhanced. Journey Tasks were removed, and Challenge Tasks were revamped to match RaidZone pacing. Server hosts can now issue the Doctor Raven Deviation, and new settings cover vertical territory range and destructibility.
Cosmetics and Limited-Time Treats
Fashion hunters had plenty to chase. The Sanzu Beyond Lightforge Loot Crate introduced the Nethercross fashion set as Legendary, the Shoreless - Sword weapon skin as Legendary, and the Fashion Mannequin - Red Spider Lily facility skin as Hype. The Lightforge Ingot Special Gift Pack remained available until April 6, 2026. The Midnight Rave and White Care combo gift boxes returned for two weeks at 20 Crystgin per draw.
April Fools brought a wave of playful items. The Cute Clash theme pack, Holiday Battle set, Forgotten Tomorrow duo action, and Tenderheart eyewear went live on April 1. Discounts ranged from 12% to 19% for one week. The Alert Zone decoration pack offered a crime-scene build at 17% off. The Foolish Fun fashion gift box featured sharks, aliens, and watermelons at 20 Crystgin per draw for the first week. Summer Waves and its weapon skins also returned for two weeks.
Smaller Fixes With Real Impact
Climbing no longer gets interrupted by an accidental jump press. Players must hold the opposite movement button for 0.3 seconds to stop climbing. Pollution Zone enemy spawn rates were balanced, and the Elite Frostella in Visional Wheel S3 was replaced by Weather Forecaster. Legendary Mod Crate rates are now visible in the Mods interface. Hair dyes expanded, weapon sticker settings can carry over when switching weapons, and resource cleanup helps mobile players free up space through Settings > Memory Optimization.
Many bugs were fixed as well, including fashion clipping, Mr. Wish's passive failing on some weapons, Deviation duration text mismatches, abnormal capture rates for level 50 Deviations, and World Map status errors. For many Metas, the March 25 update felt like a fresh start: fewer arbitrary walls, more transparent systems, and new dangers that turned every quiet forest and dark sea into a story waiting to go wrong.
