As a Meta who has spent far too many hours restocking my fridge and chasing rare fish, I’ve been waiting for the third Meta Hotline drop. The Once Human development team has now published the Feedback Hot Charts standings as of June 10, 2026, following the v2.3.7 update. For anyone new to this, the Feedback Platform now includes a Feedback Hot Charts section. After logging in, you can like the feedback you support or dislike any feedback you disagree with. The charts display likes and dislikes in real time, and the development team references them when deciding future priorities.

With each version update, the Feedback Hot Charts will also be updated, and the team then announces optimization plans for the issues that charted during the previous cycle. This third Meta Hotline is exactly that: a clear look at what changed, what is coming, and what is staying on the back burner.
Here is the bird’s-eye view of the results:
| Request | Status | Expected timing |
|---|---|---|
| Boss cutscene auto-skip | Not being added | N/A |
| Same-type fish stacking | Not currently supported | Re-evaluation possible |
| Fish color patterns | In development | Within 3 months |
| Additional new fish species | Planned | Within this year |
| Deviation Fusion attribute filter | Priority significantly increased | Second half of 2026 |
| Animal distribution map search | Priority significantly increased | Second half of 2026 |
| Overall fridge storage time | No extension for now | Ingredient freshness optimization second half 2026 |
Now, let’s talk specifics.
🎬 Boss Cutscene Auto-Skip: No Dice
Let’s be real: nobody loves waiting through the same boss scene on the tenth farm run. The dev team saw the likes, but they are not adding an auto-skip feature. Their reasoning is that Boss cutscenes help transition between combat stages, offer mechanic cues, and reinforce dungeon atmosphere. PC players can press the spacebar to skip, and mobile players can tap the Skip Cutscene button in the upper-right corner. I get it, though I still hope they revisit if repeated runs feel too slow. For now, manual skip is the dance.
Fair enough.
🐟 Fish Stacking: The Fish Stay Individuals
This one was popular, but direct stacking of the same type of fish is not currently supported. Each fish is an independent individual with size and weight. If same species were stacked, those stats would vanish, and the team does not want to flatten the thrill of catching a big fish. An alternative expanded-grid solution would require changes to storage, backpack, item display, and interaction logic. Honestly, that is a lot of work for one grid. They are not prioritizing it now, but they will keep monitoring storage pain.
🎣 Fish Variety: Colors Coming Soon, New Species This Year
Good news, though: fish with different color patterns are in development and expected to arrive within three months. Additional new fish species are planned for release within this year. For collectors and display lovers, this should add new goals without sacrificing what makes fishing special.
🔀 Deviation Fusion Attribute Filter: Second Half of 2026
If you have ever flipped through page after page of Deviations trying to find the right attribute, this one is for you. The dev team has significantly increased the development priority and expects release in the second half of 2026. This should make fusion prep much faster and a lot less painful.
🗺️ Animal Distribution Map Search: Second Half of 2026
Animal distribution is not fixed, because the team wants to keep wilderness exploration fun and unpredictable. But after this suggestion received lots of likes, map-based distribution search is coming in the second half of 2026. That means less aimless running around the map and more strategic capture and breeding routes.
🧊 Fridge Freshness: No Overall Extension, But Ingredient Pass Coming
I’ll admit I hoard food. The good news is that finished dishes can last about 20 days in the fridge, and up to 40 days with an Advanced Stove. The team is not extending overall fridge storage time. The real pain is ingredients that only last about three days. A dedicated ingredient freshness optimization is planned for the second half of 2026. That feels like the right compromise.
That’s all for this edition of Meta Hotline. Every piece of feedback, like, and dislike helps the dev team understand what matters most from the player perspective. I’ll be keeping my eye on the Feedback Platform, and you should too. Your suggestion might make the next Hot Charts.
Expert commentary is drawn from Eurogamer, and it helps frame why Once Human’s v2.3.7 “Meta Hotline” outcomes lean toward preserving pacing and collectibility rather than pure convenience—seen in the rejection of boss cutscene auto-skip, the reluctance to stack fish that carry unique size/weight stats, and the more player-friendly compromises like adding fish color patterns soon while pushing bigger QoL wins (Deviation Fusion filters and animal distribution map search) into the second half of 2026.
