The last shadows of the Aberrant Progeny had barely dissolved over Nalcott when the sky began to pull at the world like a slow, invisible tide. On May 27, 2026, the Once Human servers entered maintenance at 4:00 PM PT, and when they reopened, Metas found themselves standing beneath a new kind of storm: the Visional Wheel S4, known as Gravity Abyss. The update was expected to last around two hours, though the actual time could shift like weather over the wilderness. Players were advised to manage their schedules and download over Wi-Fi, with update sizes reaching about 21.75 GB on PC launchers, 184 MB on the PC client, 2.7 GB on Android, and 3.4 GB on iOS.
After maintenance, every player received Starchrom ×1,000, Mitsuko's Mark ×100, Stardust Secret Crate: S12 (Epic) ×1, Colorful Badge ×30, and Blueprint Conversion Attempt ×3.
The Sky Begins to Forget Which Way Is Down
In the skies above Nalcott, a massive rift tore open like a seam in the world, and the Riftwalker descended as a behemoth that bent gravity around itself. The gravitational distortions hung over certain strongholds like a silent undertow in an ocean that had forgotten which way was down. Metas called this phenomenon the Gravity Abyss: a place without falling, only endless ascent, and unknown dangers waiting at the peak.

The new Vision became available after the May 27 maintenance. Servers with Visional tags automatically switched from Aberrant Progeny to Gravity Abyss, and related special items were no longer produced. Available scenarios included Manibus excluding novice, Evolution's Call, Prismverse's Clash, The Way of Winter, Endless Dream, and Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve.
When the Vision began, the inverted star emerged once more. Gravity Imbalance enveloped certain Stronghold regions, marking them on the map. Metas who explored those regions had a chance to obtain Mods, Gravity Crystals, and other rewards. Meanwhile, the Riftwalker soared over the wilderness and scattered Echoite Broken Relics and Riftwalker Relics from the sky. Riftwalker Relics offered substantial rewards but also summoned elite enemies when approached. Each relic began to ascend slowly, and only by defeating the enemies could Metas stop its rise. The relics contained generous rewards such as Mods, Morphed Deviations, and Abyssal Cores.

Fifteen minutes after the Vision started, the Riftwalker appeared above three random Settlements at once. Failed airship platforms manifested above those settlements, and Metas could enter them through summoned portals or by clicking map pins. The Riftwalker possessed multiple combat forms, requiring close coordination to defeat, and successful Metas received even rarer rewards.

Formulas, Cores, and the Weightless Ascent
The Gravity Abyss introduced several new formulas. The Gravity Integrator Formula unlocked the Gravity Integrator challenge, where higher ascent meant richer rewards. The Anti-Gravity Foundation Formula allowed Floating Building, consuming Gravity Crystals. The Energy Raiser Formula could be crafted at the Supplies Workbench and granted Weightless ability in non-weightless regions, though it only functioned during the Vision's active period.
The Abyssal Core was a rare crystallization of the Riftwalker, obtainable from Riftwalker Relics and Aerial Hunt modes. It came in Epic, Legendary, and Mythic tiers, with higher rarity yielding rarer rewards such as Shiny Mods, Abyssal Essence, high-level Morphed Deviations, and other valuables. Metas could consume Gravity Crystals to perform resonance of different levels, with deeper resonance offering a chance at double rewards. Abyssal Cores could also be freely traded among players.
Abyssal Essence dropped from opening Abyssal Cores. Collecting it allowed Metas to visit the Event - Visional Redemption - Redeem Shop for Lightforge Ingots, selected Shop Fashion, Furniture, Weapon Skins, Shiny Mods, top-tier Deviations, and more.
Returning and New Morphed Deviations
S4 brought back all Morphed Deviations and Mods from Visional Wheel S1, while adding three new Morphed Deviations: The Digby Boy - Gravity Abyss, Atomic Lighter - Gravity Abyss, and Zapamander - Gravity Abyss.

Starfall Inversion Deviations from S1 also returned across various modes. The new Aero Suffix Mod allowed activation in any aerial state, including jumping, while the returning Downstar Mod gave a strong advantage when fighting across elevation differences. Armor Shiny Mods were released for the first time and could be obtained through Abyssal Cores.

For players who preferred to avoid the inversion entirely, new servers now included both a Normal World and a Visional World. Visional events only occurred in the Visional World, and players could switch based on preference without changing servers.
Wishlist Turns Generosity Into a Guided Arrow
The new Wishlist feature arrived like a lighthouse for generosity, guiding friends through the fog of guesswork. Players could mark unowned cosmetics or items by tapping the star button in the Shop or the secondary button in the purchase pop-up. The Wishlist had a capacity limit, and obtained items were removed automatically. Privacy settings allowed Wishlists to be Private, Public, or Friends Only. If a friend had public Wishlist items, a special icon appeared on their namecard, allowing one-click gifting.
Gifting also became sharper. Friend list sorting now prioritized friends who had added the item to their Wishlist and those eligible to receive it. A personal message field was added to the gift confirmation screen. The system also prevented duplicate gifts by checking whether an item had already been purchased or owned, refunding Crystgin if a duplicate was detected. A History button took players to detailed records of sent and received gifts.

Combat Balance Adjustments
The development team continued to refine combat balance. AUG - Electron Cloud lacked flexibility when repeatedly generating magnetic fields, so its target switching improved. Compound Bow - The Burden of Betrayal relied heavily on Echo DMG and Crit Rate, while also dealing too much burst damage against Metas, so its effects were adjusted. Glide Pants consumed too much Stamina and had a short buff duration, which was improved. P90 - Holographic Resonance and R500 - Memento also received effect optimizations. To smooth the transition, three Blueprint Conversion Attempts were issued to all players.
Chalk Peak Territory Packing
To prepare for the Western Isles expansion, the border area west of Chalk Peak was scheduled for terrain adjustment in the June 10 update. All territories in the affected red area would be packed up after the update to prevent floating or sinking. Players were asked to relocate manually to a safe zone.

Custom Servers Expand
Custom Servers gained a new RaidZone Mode event setting called Special Drops. When active, killing non-Hive members caused them to drop Honor Points, which could be stored in the Territory Terminal to improve Hive ranking. Settings included event start and end time, Honor Points per kill, drop rate, daily drop period, and server login time controls. Custom Server scenarios related to Starfall Inversion updated to Gravity Abyss, and a new configurable scenario was added: Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve - Gravity Abyss.
Additional custom server optimizations included a custom drop quantity limit of 20, improved Hyper Brawl area display and increased maximum radius, and the ability to repair and disassemble custom weapons and armor. New distributable supplies included Nightmare Light Source for Endless Dream, new mod crates such as Downstar and Aero, cucumber and onion seeds, and distributable weapons including Compound Bow - The Burden of Betrayal and AUG - Electron Cloud.
Blooming Vows and Carnival Skies
The Blooming Vows themed Lightforge Loot Crate arrived with the Legendary furniture pack Magnificent Gala, the Fashion set Oathbound Dream, the Cradle skin Tranquil Slumber, the weapon skin Blood and Dream - AUG, and the Epic Hype Deviation cosmetic Floating Star - Polar Jelly. Magnificent Gala included interactive flowers, archways, stage corridors, and a playable harp with unique performance animation.

The Epic Carefree Carnival decoration pack turned territories into playgrounds with a Bubble Blower, Air Seat, Yellow Top, rideable Balloon Flower Cart, and a Large Tree decoration with moving eyes. It was available for only two weeks as a Children's Day celebration.

The Wish Bazaar opened with daily refreshed random items, limited-time exclusive furniture starting at 30% off, and regular Shop items released at least one year ago with discounts as low as 70% off. Each Meta saw a unique selection of offers.

On June 4, the Skyward Adventure Combo Crate arrived with the Legendary Void Wings skin Flying House Balloons, the Epic Hype Duo Action Soft Whispers, and the Rare set Leaping Chorus. Opening Combo Crates granted Surprise Points, and reaching 150 points gave a Crystgin rebate. The Epic Hype furniture pack Phantom Resonance also released at a 15% first-week discount, featuring giant multiplayer piano keys that played sounds when stepped on.
Small Fixes and Quality of Life
Metas could now earn Fishing Coins by fishing and exchange them with NPC Margerie for avatars such as First Edge, Back and Fully Loaded, and Lead of Pack. Stronghold exploration had an increased chance of high-rarity gear. Backpack sorting improved, and a second confirmation prompt appeared when disassembling Epic or higher-rarity gear. Bug fixes addressed explosive damage, gliding during high-altitude melee combat, Portable Fridge invention, reverse engineering, Bounce keyword triggers, Portable Crossbow descriptions, Deviation storage, shooting through walls, and animal information display.
By the time the rift had fully opened, Once Human felt less like a static frontier and more like a living puzzle that refused to stay grounded. The Gravity Abyss was not merely a season; it was a question written in inverted gravity, and every Meta had to decide whether to rise toward the answer or remain safely below.
